story for whoever would like to read it. Our journey started about a year ago when we bought a foreclosure
in desperate need of every kind of repair along with countless items that needed to be replaced, refurbished
or remodeled. Like many of the foreclosure stories out there, ours was true to form, with fixtures missing,
half remodeled rooms, holes in the walls and more hidden damage then we ever imagined.
We started out as DIY, Do It Yourself’ers. We tried this for about two months and realized there was too much
to get done on our own to ever be able to move-in. So we began our search for someone reliable, who could
help us get the numerous jobs done, the way we wanted them done. After interviewing a number of people
it was refreshing to find someone with all your skills. At
every twist and turn of the journey you were flexible
and easy to work with, no matter what we threw at you.
We had to gut almost the entire house, down to the studs
in the Kitchen, Baths and Laundry Room. Most other
rooms had holes in the walls needing repair. The
ugly acoustical ceilings had to go and then we wanted new
knock-down texture on the walls and ceilings (the drywall crew supervisor said he had never seen a home
prepped so well).
Your skills in managing the trades I needed called in were great; the painters did a beautiful professional
paint job, with multiple coats of primer and color. It was then time for new cabinets and counters in the
Kitchen and Bathrooms, built in cabinetry in the Den and new hardwood flooring throughout. Of course
there were so many other things that had to be done, the roof leak repairs, the new windows and that
great attic ladder.
Rich, thank you for skillfully and professionally
completing each phase of the remodel. We were particularly
happy and impressed with your attention to detail
and talents as a craftsman. You really went the extra
mile to help in the completion of
the project, from some really long days to some really great
ideas.
We now
have a new, no make that better than new home, in a great existing
neighborhood. You can
be sure you will come highly recommended to all our friends, family and colleagues.
Sincerely, The Smith’s, Alta Loma
